The seventh grade band is an exciting continuation of the excellent sixth grade band. The seventh grade band meets every day. Students will notice some obvious differences from 6th grade band, as well as some similarities. The band will typically meet in different subgroup arrangements. These will include woodwinds, brass and percussion subgroups as well as individual sectionals. Our required technique book will be Essential Ellements 2000, book 2, Hal Leonard Publications. The class will emphasize similar structured skill development as in sixth grade, but will have a greater emphasis on group performance of band literature. Enrichment opportunities for small ensemble playing are available for motivated students. Students will have periodic graded playing tests, as well as required practice records, provided in class. Participation at all concerts is required, and a significantly weighted and is an important part of each student's grade.

Rental Program

We have our instrument rental program through Saieds. The way the rental program works is you pay for the instrument in monthly payments to Saieds. This is a way to get your student an instrument while having a warranty and a repair shop to fix the instrument for free. The rental program will be held at the beginning of school.
